Human vs. Squirrel: The Battle of Wits Is On
This one was really fun to write, and a departure from my normal research-heavy pieces. I was surprised when my editor agreed to this piece, but I'm glad he did. It caused me quite of bit of anxiety when the neighbor's cat began clearing the area of squirrels. "The cat is killing my story!" I complained to family members. I should have known it wouldn't matter. People like a good quick witted furry animal story, no matter the ending. Poop and animals always get clicks.
